CALL FOR PROPOSALS

SUBJECT OF THE CALL FOR PORPOSALS

The subject of the call for proposals is conference and other participation fees, travel and accommodation expenses related to research on sustainability. The grant may be related to a one-off event or to a longer research project abroad, lasting up to six months. In case of longer programmes, it is possible to apply again, in which case the application will include a report on the first part of the programme.

THE AIM OF THE RESEARCHER MOBILITY PROGRAMME

The Researcher Mobility Programme of Budapest Centre for Long-term Sustainability Kft. (BC4LS/Centre) aims to promote the deeper integration of Hungarian researchers of sustainability in the field of economics, social sciences, geography, humanities, and other interdisciplinary fields of education into the international scientific community. The long-term goal of the programme is to make Hungarian researchers take part, as speakers, at the most important international conferences on sustainability and to have joint research with foreign researchers. In order for this to happen, BC4LS/Centre supports participation in conferences, workshops and other events on sustainability or related topics and the establishment of personal relations with foreign researchers, which is indispensable for joint researches, in the following research areas:

• Sustainable economics and development
• Sustainable geopolitics and geoeconomics
• Digital transformation and innovation
• Sustainable society and education
• Conservation of natural resources
• Fusion of these fields

CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATION

1. Researchers with a university degree are eligible to apply.
2. Applications must include the following documents that are to be sent to the bc4ls@bc4ls.com email address. Please write the following in the subject field: „BC4LS Researcher Mobility Programme 2023”.
   
   1. Curriculum vitae,
   2. List of publications, in case the applicant has any,
   3. university degree,
   4. A letter of motivation that provides details about the purpose of the grant and how it fits into the applicant’s research and publication plans,
   5. A budget indicating the amount of the grant requested, with a detailed breakdown of the estimated costs (travel, participation fees, accommodation).
3. The applicant must provide a written report on the results of the professional conferences/workshops/other events that they attended and on the relations established with researchers abroad.
4. It is expected during the programme that the experiences, impressions, and results obtained at the conferences/workshops/other events attended with the support of the grant as well as the relations established with researchers from abroad will be communicated to the scientific community in Hungary, if requested.

The maximum amount of the grant, following evaluation, is HUF 500,000.

The evaluation of the applications is continuous. Applications may be submitted from 7th August 2023 onwards. In case of a positive decision, the Centre will conclude a grant agreement with the applicant.
